Rice bran (Rice Bran / De-oiled Rice Bran) is the outer layer of the rice grain removed during milling. It contains oil (12–18% in raw form), protein and fibre. De-oiled rice bran (DORB) is the residue after extraction of rice bran oil and is widely used as a cost-effective energy-protein supplement in cattle and buffalo rations in MP and surrounding states.
